Adams Farm is a sixth-generation working family farm that has won many awards for their unique and clever tours. They have been featured on ABC’s "Good Morning America," CBS’s "Early Morning Show" with Bryant Gumbel, ESPN, Channel 5’s "Boston Chronicle," Boston’s WHDH-TV, Vermont Public Television’s "Rural Free Delivery," the Food Network, The Travel Channel and Time-Warner’s New York One "Travel with Val."

According to the Boston Sunday Globe, Adams Farm offers the "ultimate agricultural experience."

Adams Farm offers many seasonal options to motorcoach groups, from sleigh rides in the winter to farm feasts in the summer and fall. Listed below are some samples of what we can offer your travel group.

Find out what each generation has had to withstand in order to keep the farm going for the next generation. Experience Yankee humor first hand from the farmer himself, as well as, get a sampling of the farmers’ daughter’s delicious cooking.

Wagon Ride and Barn Theater Visit

The hottest trend in travel is experiential tourism. See why everyone is talking about our most popular experience! For 140 years, the Adamses have been working the land and entertaining guests on their family farm. Our nationally renowned event will take you on a comfortable wagon ride tour of our 210-acre hillside farm. Enter the Barn Theater for a delicious home-baked dessert and a humorous hands-on agricultural presentation. Get a taste of what it means to be a true Vermonter. This is your chance to learn all about the family farm, farming and Vermont culture. In this interactive experience, various members of your group will be chosen to milk a goat, bottle feed lambs and much more. Shop in our Farm Store for fine Vermont products and many other specialties. If you’re coming to Vermont you won’t want to skip this event. Available rain or shine. Please allow 2 hours per visit.

June to October

9:15 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm. Evening rides available
from 7:00 pm to 9 pm.

Group Policy and Rates:

Group rate $11.00 per person, includes refreshments.
Group must have at least 15 people to qualify for our group rate.

Farm Feast

Our Livestock Pavilion is outfitted with all the essentials for an authentic New England Farm Feast; lanterns, fresh flowers from the garden, red and white checked table clothes and a complementary souvenir Adams Farm bandana at each place setting. Your group will be ready for a hoe down on the farm with a variety of straw hats to wear to complete the experience. Enjoy our Farm Feast (see our menu on page 8) complete with our famous Blueberry Buckle topped with fresh whipped cream. During dessert take pleasure in viewing a traditional Scottish-style sheep herding demonstration or a Morgan Horse demonstration (the Morgan Horse is the Official State Horse of Vermont). Shop in our Farm Store for fine Vermont products and many other specialties. Available rain or shine, June through October. Please allow 2 hours per visit. Add-ons include a wagon ride, a barn theater presentation or a combination of all three.

Evening Hayride and Bonfire Party

Visit our farm and enjoy a comfortable tractor-pulled wagon ride through our 210-acre hillside farm. Take a seat around southern Vermont’s largest bonfire for our legendary marshmallow roasting and s’mores made with our own homemade chocolate fudge. Listen to traditional New England ghost stories and legends under the stars. Shop in our Farm Store for fine Vermont products and many other specialties. Available rain or shine, Please allow 2 hours per visit.

Dates of Operation:

June through October. Evening rides available from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Group rate $12.00 per person, includes refreshments.
Group must have at least 15 people to qualify for our group rate.

Sleigh Rides

Take a nostalgic sleigh ride pulled by the farm’s eight Belgian draft horses at the 210-acre hillside farm through maple and pine groves, across an open meadow to take in the views. Stop at our log cabin in the woods to warm up by the wood fires. Enjoy a steaming cup of hot chocolate and sing along to the ol’player piano. Board the sleighs again to ride back down to the farm to shop in our Farm Store for fine Vermont products and many other specialties. Available December through March, weather permitting. In the event of foul weather, your group can be accommodated with our Barn Theater presentation and Livestock Barn. Please allow 2 hours per visit. Add-ons include a four course lunch at the cabin and/or chocolate fudge fondue at the cabin or an interactive presentation on the evolution of the family farm in our Barn Theater.

Dates of Operation:

Mid-December through Mid-March.

Group Policy and Rates:

Group rate on weekdays is $16.00 per person and $18.00 per person on weekends. Rate includes refreshments.
Group must have at least 15 people to qualify for our group rate.

Barn Theater Presentation and Livestock Barn Visit - Find your seat in our Barn Theater for a delicious home baked dessert and humorous hands-on agricultural presentation. Get a taste of what it means to be a true Vermonter. This is your chance to learn all about the family farm, farming and Vermont culture. In this interactive experience, various members of your group will be chosen to milk a goat, bottle feed lambs and much more. Meet, greet and feed our friendly farm animals. Shop in our Farm Store for fine Vermont products and many other specialties. Available rain or shine, November through May. Please allow 1½ hours per visit.

Group rate $10.00 per person, includes refreshments.
Group must have at least 15 people to qualify for our group rate.
Driver and escort complimentary. Reservations required. Ample parking.

Specialty Lectures and Workshops - We have a variety of specialty lectures available as part of your visit, including History of Quilting, History of Vermont Agriculture and a Medicinal Herbal Workshop to name a few. Please contact us for more information on these unique options. Please allow 2 hours per visit.
