Adams Farm Vermont Sleigh Rides Release date August 2003 Adams Farm's horse drawn sleigh rides take visitors on a magical journey up the mountain and through the snowy sugar grove to the log cabin in the woods. At the cabin, visitors enjoy a warm up by the fire, a cup of hot chocolate, and tunes on the antique player piano. The drivers narrate the whole trip with interesting and humorous stories about farm life, the draft horses, the maple sugar grove, and Vermont life in general.
During the fall, the horses get back into shape for sleigh ride season by pulling slab wood from the farm's sawmill to the sugarhouse where it will be used for the next year's sugaring season. Adams Farm is a working sixth-generation farm in southern Vermont, offering the public seasonal activities and agricultural interactive experiences for the whole family, as well as a complete Farm Store and Quilt & Fiber Arts Loft. Adams Farm has been rated as a "Top Ten Great Places to Ride into a Currier and Ives" by USA Today, "Top Ten Vermont Attraction" by Vermont Magazine, an "Editors' Pick" by Yankee Magazine Travel Guide to New England, and was named the 2003 Vermont Sustainable Farm of the Year.
